Service Designer - Admiral Pioneer

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Service Designer to work on end-to-end Service Design projects, from early phase proposition development to launching innovative businesses. We’re looking for a creative and proactive team member who is passionate about developing new products and services across a broad range of areas; health, small businesses and gig economy that may include products and services in the insurance, financial management and mobility sectors.

You are a Service Designer who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and within multi-disciplinary teams. You should be a quick and curious learner who is able to prioritise tasks when working on various projects. You are enthusiastic about building capabilities around Service Design and promoting a human-centred design mind set across the wider team.

You are confident in practicing Design Thinking and have the ability to move from insight discovery to hands-on prototyping simultaneously. You are excited about experimenting in real-life environments, along with an openness to new ways of testing products and services; always with a goal to identify relevant problems and develop innovative solutions that matter to customers.

The interview will focus on a piece of work you have done or your portfolio. We ask you to send us a copy of this prior to your interview for us to review.

Responsibilities 

• Delivering end-to-end Service Design, UX or customer experience projects
• Using your passion to build impactful solutions whilst balancing value and cost
• Working with teams of colleagues, partners and start-ups towards a uniting vision

Requirements 

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Deep expertise in ethnographic and immersive customer research 
• Experience running and managing field experiments from clarifying the hypothesis to set up and measuring results
• Ability to move from insights into prototypes and experiments through preferred digital tools such as Figma, Adobe XD etc.
• Expertise of human-centred design processes and curiosity to adopt new approaches to product and service development
• Strong track record of collaborating with product owners, technical teams and data scientists

It would be beneficial if you also had:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related discipline
• Expertise in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc)
• Interested in the startup world from FinTech, InsureTech to mobility as a service 

Qualified candidates must present an online portfolio that:

• Demonstrates a passion for digital product development and deep customer insights
• Shows experience with diverse content and subject matter, innovation and usability

Please note the majority of our staff are now on annual leave for the festive period, therefore response times may be slower than usual. We will return to the office on the 4th of January and aim to update you on your application as soon as possible.

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.

Additional Information
Due to Covid the whole Admiral Pioneer team is working remotely. We will provide you with everything you need to work comfortably from home. 
We expect you to be working remotely for the foreseeable future, however, after it's safe to return to the office, we have days when the whole team comes together. You can choose how many days you can be in the office as long as we see your face from time to time.
