We are currently hiring for a Data Analyst to join Veygo on a permanent basis!

Why Veygo?

Veygo was founded 6 years ago as part of a pioneering incubation venture ‘Admiral Pioneer’ - created to seed and launch exciting scale ups to disrupt existing marketplaces.

Veygo has so far seen an impressive 50% YoY growth. We currently provide our customers with temporary and learner car insurance - products designed to make life easier for those wanting to share cars, insure their own car for a short amount of time, or for people learning to drive.

What makes Veygo different?

  • We’re building flexible policies for learner drivers or people looking to share cars once they've passed their test.
  • Veygo provides comprehensive cover to those customers, meaning that the car owner’s insurance policy and no claims bonus is safe if the person borrowing the car has an accident.
  • All Veygo’s insurance is available by the hour, day, week or month and customers can get a quote in minutes.
  • All backed by Admiral, voted Best UK Car Insurance Provider six years in a row by The Personal Finance Awards.

Whilst our mission today is to put people in control of their own journey our ambition is to create a youth lifestyle brand that take us beyond car insurance.  Disruption is in our DNA and we’re always relentlessly looking for collaborative self-starters and innovators with the desire to challenge how we do things today; to push the boundaries and drive us through our onward growth journey.  Veygo’s culture is vibrant, open, creative, and disruptive.

Data management

  • Maintain high levels of data accuracy, data quality and data usability across all of Veygo.
  • Assessing the usefulness of external and internal data sources and implementing robust and scalable solutions.
  • Identify, implement, and manage data analysis tools and methods.
  • Maintain the data currently used by Veygo and ensure they are updated regularly.
  • Monitoring and maintaining existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Maintain good data governance, ensuring that data is both stored and used in line with regulations.

Data Analysis

  • Providing thought leadership and insights to support growth opportunities, loss ratio improvements and strategic decision making.
  • Supporting Operational performance with analysis and insights.
  • Respond to data related enquiries in real-time to support Veygo.

Communication and collaboration

  • Being highly visible across the business, providing input for decision making, and participating in different forums.
  • Communicating efficiently with stakeholders ensuring Veygo is making data and customer led decisions.
  • Collaborating with peers and with stakeholders from all relevant areas of the business.
  • Creation, implementation, and maintenance of ad-hoc and periodical business reports and data visualisation.
  • Staying up to date with emerging trends and technology bringing innovation to serve better our customers.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills supported by a solid academic and work background.
  • Experience of coding language. Preferably with Veygo’s analytical tools (Tableau, SQL and Python).
  • Working with large complex data bases. Understanding how to expose data from systems and being able to blend it and integrate it with other pieces of information.
  • Willingness to learn from the bottom up and put in the time to acquire the necessary technical skills.
  • Proactive and creative approach to taking initiative and getting things done.
  • Team player with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships.
