About Veygo

Veygo was founded 6 years ago – part of the pioneering incubation venture ‘Admiral Pioneer’ - created to seed and launch exciting scale ups to disrupt existing marketplaces.   

Veygo has so far seen an impressive 50% YoY growth. We currently provide our customers with temporary and learner car insurance - products designed to make life easier for those wanting to share or borrow cars, insure their own car for a short amount of time, or for people learning to drive.

• We’re building flexible policies for learner drivers and people looking to share cars – whether owned or borrowed.   
• Veygo provides comprehensive cover to those customers, meaning that the car owner’s existing insurance policy and no claims bonus is safe if the person borrowing the car has an accident.

Skills and Experience

• I can translate my ideas into clear code, is free of obvious errors and well documented for knowledge sharing .
• I am able to read and navigate through code bases and effectively debug.
• I have a strong awareness of the tools and libraries supporting my primary programming language.
• I have designed software components in well scoped scenarios in a professional environment.
• I design and create valuable unit tests with considerations to security, reliability and functional requirements.
• Mid and Senior levels considered.

What your day could look like

• Develop backend services, using Python and Django.
• Develop modern frontend websites, using TypeScript, React and Redux.
• Build Infrastructure, using Terraform and AWS cloud services.
• Deploy your code to production and support it.
• Design REST APIs.
• Champion best practices .like automated testing and continuous deployment.
• Share knowledge by pair programming, show and tell sessions.
• Play an active role in agile ceremonies like retrospectives and sprint planning.

All colleagues will receive 33 days holiday (including banks holidays) when they join us, and this will increase with length of service, up to a maximum of 38 days (including banks holidays). You also have the option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave in addition to your allocation.
