Forming part of the Digital team, you will design and develop customer-facing chatbots in multiple platforms to support the business’ plans for Digital Customer Engagement.

Your role will include gathering, assessing and implementing requirements in line with the overall roadmap and strategy for chatbots, working both individually and as part of the wider team. You should be a strong problem solver, good communicator, eager to learn new skills and engaged with the possibilities that chatbots can offer.

Main Duties

  • Design and develop chatbot conversations in line with development processes and business demands
  • Test and refine solutions prior to launch as well as optimise chatbot journeys in live
  • Proactively review chatbots for potential issues & improvements, identify new features and opportunities
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, documenting these requirements and necessary customer journey flows where appropriate
  • Communicate progress and future work effectively
  • Manage own workload and development priorities in line with roadmap and team objectives;
  • Feed into the overall chatbot roadmap and strategy
  • Work with other developers and wider Digital team to support and advise
  • Work with MI Analysts to review and report progress to stakeholders

Experience Required

Essential:

  • Knowledge of how we communicate with customers
  • Independent worker with strong organisational skills
  • Confidence to challenge existing work practices
  • Effective communication to all levels
  • Analytical with problem-solving skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change

Desirable:

  • Strong understanding of business processes
  • Experience at analysing and refining processes and functions
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Desire to develop technical skills

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
