We are looking for a talented and driven product manager to join our Confused.com Labs team. We need your help to create customer journeys in mobile and voice channels and to increase the number of ways Confused.com is helping our customers - not only with insurance and financial products but also in other ways. If you are an experienced product manager with a focus on working with technical teams to find creative ways to deliver new customer journeys and you enjoy a challenge, then you might be just what we are looking for.

About your role

  • You will play an active part in creating and delivering Confused.com’s App/Messenger/Web strategy, including developing new ways for us to help our users beyond comparing financial products.
  • You will design products from scratch, touching on all technical and customer-facing layers.
  • You will work closely with our third-party partners to explore new features and deliver these changes, while managing relationships on behalf of Confused.com.
  • You will work directly with internal and external tech teams to deliver changes.
  • You will act as an Agile Product Owner for sprints, or large projects in your area. We need you to make sure the ceremonies are in place, and the team is delivering against the roadmap.
  • You’ll be able to plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks to deliver results within agreed timescales, running projects from the first idea to go live and monitoring them.
  • You’ll challenge the status quo, with an ability not only to follow established processes but also to suggest innovative solutions that work better for the task at hand. You’ll be able to anticipate potential problems and suggest different approaches.
  • You may also be involved in the management of existing journeys, working closely with the MI team to identify improvements in our customers’ experience.
  • You’ll use customer journeys MI, including Tableau and Google Analytics, to track product and partner performance and to ensure we are maximising our opportunities.
  • You’ll manage product delivery budgets, focusing on delivering the approved features within budget and timescales.
  • You’ll work closely with design and UX experts to continuously improve customer journeys and conversions as well as using tools to identify where customers are struggling.
  • You’ll work closely with marketing specialists to deliver engaging customer journeys and maximise opportunities to engage with customers.
  • You’ll carry out regular competitor and customer research to understand changes in the market or consumer behaviour, to ensure we are keeping up with market and consumer trends and to identify opportunities.
  • You’ll work closely with our customer support team to both make sure we are addressing our customers’ issues and identify key trends to take into consideration in the product roadmap.
  • You’ll work closely with the Ops team to make sure you understand the product performance and any key trends we need to address in the product backlog.
  • You will support your team in ensuring we have the right controls in place and ensuring Confused.com treats our customers fairly.
  • You may be asked to manage others within the team at times, informally or formally.
