As a Motor Claims Risk Executive, you will support Claims in the identification, assessment, and management of across a variety of risk types.

The type of person suited to this role will have:

The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive suite of training, combining both self-managed research and bespoke sessions run by experienced risk professionals within the department.

The training programme will run across the five teams within Claims Risk, giving exposure to a wide ranging set of topics. In addition to the internal training, once this is complete, there will be the opportunity to undertake external qualifications with industry recognised bodies such as the CII, ICA, IRM, ICTTF and more.

Main Duties

  • Support stakeholders by providing advice, challenge, and guidance on managing risk and ensuring good governance practices are adhered to
  • Maintain and develop key stakeholder relationships across Claims, Corporate Governance and other areas of the business as required, through regular meetings and written updates
  • Supporting Claims in the documentation, evaluation and management of our customer outcome risks
  • Improve awareness of risk management within Claims
  • Aid the development of Operational, Customer outcome and Emerging Risk frameworks across Claims and maintain a regular review cycle of these in line with relevant policies.
  • Production of reports and dashboards for working groups and risk committees
  • Maintain up to date audit trails using Microsoft packages and risk management software to document evidence of advice given and to ensure our risks and controls are recorded and maintained
  • Supporting Claims in the completion, tracking and assessment of our compliance with the Minimum Standards
  • Positively contribute to the overall department’s priorities, objectives, and culture
  • Keep up to date on current industry thinking and regulatory developments and facilitate change where needed
  • Representing and advocating for Claims Risk as an SME in projects

Skills & Qualifications

  • Collaborative working and working together as a team to share ideas, thoughts, and support colleagues
  • Excellent communication, used to conveying information to diverse audiences in a way that is easily understood
  • Creative thinking, and used to sharing new ways of thinking or achieving goals
  • Commercially aware, proactive, pragmatic, forward looking and attention to detail
  • Working on your own initiative, with the ability to introduce new ideas to the role and the wider Claims Risk Department
  • An understanding of the current regulatory landscape and risk management techniques are preferrable but, not essential
  • Risk management qualifications and/or experience are highly desirable

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
