About Admiral Money

Admiral Money (AFSL) is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral. 

The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.

We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating a special lending business for our customers.

About the role

The role will focus on understanding and managing the regulatory framework to support Admiral Money’s business strategy and providing assurance to senior management and Board. It will involve identifying, analysing and reporting on areas of current and future risk exposure as well as providing oversight and assurance for first line activities to ensure the business operates within risk appetite.

The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running in a fast-moving, innovative and high-profile environment, at least two years’ prior experience in a regulated compliance role is therefore a prerequisite. Responsibility will be given to set direction and lead the way, whilst retaining a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities 

  • Managing a compliance team covering both compliance advice and monitoring activity
  • Identifying, analysing and reporting on areas of emerging and potential conduct risk across the customer lifecycle
  • Assessing the impact of regulatory requirements and change, ensuring they are being adequately understood and translated into the business appropriately
  • Monitoring against risk appetite and ensuring proactive steps are taken to sufficiently mitigate current and emerging risks as appropriate

Requirements

  • Experience in Compliance Management within financial services
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail, comfortable presenting and influencing at a senior level
  • Experience in a fast paced environment where you can take the lead and shape new products and initiatives by building strong relationships
  • Have a passion for compliance and are excited about the future of Admiral Money and want to work with us to shape it
  • Have practical understanding of relevant regulation regarding investments, wealth or asset managemen

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
