"It’s an exciting time for Admiral as it continues to embark on its diversification strategy with our newest product – Pet Insurance, launched in the summer of 2022, growing superbly well throughout 2023 and set to expand massively in 2024 with the acquisition of the More Than Pet Insurance business.
We’re looking for a new Strategic Relationship Executive to join our Pet Claims business! You’ll be joining a dynamic department, that’s focused on delivering a truly market-leading, ‘Best-in-Class’ service for our customers.
This role would be perfect for an ambitious, energetic and multi-talented person who is looking to progress their career within Claims and the wider insurance sector. You’ll be adaptable, innovative and forward thinking, and skilled at building strong and effective relationships. You’ll also be keen to embrace all that comes with working for a business that has particularly exciting growth and innovation plans.
Working closely with our Strategic Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and optimising our existing key external relationships, as well as identifying and mobilising new supplier relationships for our rapidly growing Pet business. You will also support the department in ensuring we follow industry best practice & internal group policy in our dealings with our supply chain partners, as well as maximising the benefits that these suppliers bring to the business, our customers and their pets.
Main Duties
- Support the day-to-day communication, engagement, and interaction with existing suppliers
- Investigate and identify potential new provider arrangements to enhance our propositions and the service our customers receive
- Support with Supplier / Partner quality control and deal with relevant feedback, complaints and queries
- Interact with our customers and stakeholders to seek feedback upon the performance of our suppliers
- Be responsible for updating relevant MI relating to suppliers and managing internal governance requirements and including Consumer Duty activity.
- Contribute to reports on supplier performance and ensure each supplier’s adherence to their respective SLAs
- Have input into the benchmarking and strategic development of our product proposition and customer journey within the market
- Support commercial and tender activities, and contract negotiation with all suppliers (existing and new suppliers)
- Provide administrative support to our internal Claims Management team ensuring effective record keeping and timely completion of regulatory objectives. This would include providing meeting governance support in the guise of collating minutes, actions etc.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Previous supplier / relationship management experience
- Experience of working within a busy customer-focused department
- The ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders alike
- Innovative and ability to “think outside of the box”
- Self-starter with the ability to work with a high level of autonomy
- Excellent organisational skills and the willingness to develop analytical skills
- Experience within a financial services environment
- Experience of quality monitoring and effective administrative practices
- Pet and / or veterinary- related knowledge
- Ability to present reports, ideas and pitches to a range of stakeholders
- Experience of representing the business at industry events

Salary, Benefits, and Work-Life Balance
