Admiral Financial Services (AFSL) is an exciting new division of Admiral Group, energetic lending arm of Admiral Group. Based on the 11th floor in Ty Admiral, we have the freedom to innovate like a small start up with the fortunate support of Admiral Group.

The journey started for us when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017 and since then, we have gone from strength to strength!

With ambitious plans for 2021 and beyond, we’re looking for someone who is keen to develop, excited about getting stuck in and ready for a challenge. Our vision is simple, we’re creating a special lending business for our customers whilst also ensuring AFSL is a fantastic place to work.

The Role

We are looking for someone to join our support team, who can bring tech happiness and sense of caring to every problem here at AFSL. Whilst helping remove barriers you will be making things better.

You will be joining a highly motivated, tech savvy and fast paced IT Operations team with a large programme of change planned for the foreseeable future. You will be providing a mixture of 1st and 2nd line support for all the business users whilst actively rolling out new technologies and watching the business grow from the inside out.

You will be an organised, enthusiastic self-starter, a problem solver and to top it off a great communicator, able work closely with our colleagues and any third parties that might be involved in the delivery of our services to the business. You will be someone that people can trust and turn to for help and support, you will be a keen learner and willing to increase your knowledge, skills and progress your career and grow with the company.

Key duties:

  • Understand, clean and triage all tickets & make sure all are assigned to the correct team(s);
  • Where appropriate / knowledge exists, work on the service provision or resolution until closure or escalate to the next level if not able to fulfil in totality
  • Provide status reports of ticket levels as required and escalate once pre-defined limits are breached.
  • Liaising with core delivery teams around and outside the Admiral Group
  • Work with both test and production systems and environments
  • Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Support the implementation of new applications
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Manage key third party relationships including webchat, contact management systems (SMS and email), document management

Essential:

  • Proven experience in an IT support function
  • Experience working in financial services
  • Customer focused
  • Keen learner
  • Can do attitude

Desired experience:

  • Administration and troubleshooting of AWS / Azure Active Directory / MS 365 collaboration suite
  • Intune configuration for Windows 10, Apple, Android and iOS
  • JAMF configuration for Apple Mac deployment
  • Apple Mac support
  • Related professional qualifications.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the financial sector
  • Any other cloud Technology certifications

On call schedule:

  • Once proficient in the role, you will be expected to join a once monthly rotation of 7 days of on call availability to cover out of hours service. Additional renumeration will be provided for this time and effort.
