Senior Credit Risk Analyst

We have an exciting new role for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst within the Financial Risk Team. The team sits in the 2^nd line reporting to the Chief Risk Officer and is tasked with overseeing the management of all financial risks, including credit risk. The team is also responsible for the modelling and reporting of IFRS 9 provisions.

A bit about Admiral Money

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the establishment of an effective suite of portfolio management reporting, enabling us to identify and respond to emerging risks.
• Recommending responses to emerging risks, for example via changes to credit policy.
• Ensuring the business lines adhere to risk appetite and to the credit policy.
• Delivering analytical thematic reviews and recommendations.
• Finding innovative ways to monitor model and strategy performance.
• Reviewing credit proposals and ensuring credit risk is appropriately evaluated and managed.
• Supporting the Credit Risk Appetite process including recommending key risk indicators and associated limits.
• Feeding portfolio insight to the Impairment team to ensure credit loss provisions are adequate.

About you

• At least 2 years hands on experience within Retail Credit Risk (e.g. Unsecured Loans).
• Experience in SAS, SQL or Python (all three would be preferable).
• Knowledge of credit risk management techniques.
• Strong working knowledge of statistical and analytical techniques.
• Experience of managing credit risk for secured products (mortgages, motor finance).
• Experience of IFRS 9 provisioning and/or stress testing.
