"This is an exciting opportunity to join our Claims Debt Recovery team. The role will include thoroughly investigating claims, using online tracing websites, social media and many other tools. The aim is to identify and pursue the responsible debtor to recover all claim costs associated with repudiated claims, uninsured Third Party claims and any other claims where money is owed to us by an individual where there is no valid insurance in place.
This includes dealing with any post or telephone queries in connection with the claim. Taking ownership of any queries and loop calls, making decisive business decisions as quickly as possible, and maintaining the overall objective of achieving the fastest, most effective economic settlement, for the benefit of the business.
These claims will involve vulnerable customers and some high value debts, so you’ll need to be empathetic and have great negotiation skills.
Main Duties
- Managing your caseload effectively.
- Identifying and pursuing the correct debtor.
- Establishing recovery prospects early on.
- Review a variety of interesting claims.
- Investigate success rate of claims.
- Conduct searches using tracing website and social media and investigate PH/TP’s.
- Maintain Full housekeeping of your allocated files and adhere to the existing procedures
- Complaint handling where necessary.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers and colleagues
- Working in line with department KPI’s
- A drive and passion for self-development and progression.
- Have high availability for calls and referrals.
- Assist with training to wider dept where needed.
- Understand indemnity and the Road Traffic Act.
- Develop a good working relationship with the wider claims dept and understand their procedures
