The Role

We’re looking for a Jr Analyst to work alongside the Payroll and Benefits management team. The Systems and Process Analyst will help move the department forward, identifying keys areas of advancements across the payroll system and benefits processes.

Priority for the role will be supporting the Payroll Compliant Analyst to test the proposals for changes made and bring these to life. The successful candidate will be key in driving change and improving payroll efficiency and functionality.

This role will interact with all staff within the team and stakeholders (internal and external) to create a collaborative approach to process improvements and strategic direction.

Key Duties

  • Working with the Payroll Compliance Analyst and Payroll Management team, you’ll carry out analysis and testing of the iTrent payroll system to rectify and improve current processes 
  • Review iTrent usage and processes to identify improvements 
  • Support the team with iTrent system changes and developments and collaborating with the PS Systems and Process team if required 
  • Build and maintain relationship with external providers, ensuring that a good working relationship is fostered and communication is maintained throughout every process change or piece of work

  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently and with initiative
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Coordinate those involved in the project work, ensuring everyone is clear about their roles and are working towards the same outcome and deadline. 
  • A basic understanding of iTrent and payroll processes
  • Proactive, analytical thinker, able to identify areas of improvement
  • The ability to provide a detailed audit trail of discussions and decisions to refer to, avoiding the need to involve stakeholders in decisions already made previously
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Communication when working on projects should be concise, regular and sent to the right interested parties.
  • The ability to use excel fluently is essential
  • The desire to self-develop by utilising all available resource.
  • The understanding of when support is required and the ability to reach out and arrange that support when needed to ensure that deadlines are met and results are achieved in the optimum timeframe.
