The facilities operative will support the facilities service management team in providing a safe, smart & effective platform for the business to work on, through a commitment to pro-actively preserving strong relationships with all staff, providing exceptional customer service to all our customers both internal and external & driving and communicating this service throughout the department.

Candidates must be able to work not only as part of a team but under your own initiative and be flexible in your approach when undertaking specific tasks. You must be flexible to work out of hours should the need arise.

Main Duties

  • Proactively maintain the buildings, by completing in-depth, weekly, and monthly checks.
  • Liaise with on-site 3rd parties, dealing with day-to-day queries, and escalating issues to the relevant manager.
  • Carry out & complete any allocated facility help desk requests within the set time frames.
  • Respond promptly to all requirements and carry out your duties in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assist with desk moves (may require out of hours work)
  • Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Constantly seek to improve the facilities service
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills Required

  • Strong customer services skills and experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Previous Facilities experience is desirable
  • Knowledge and awareness of facilities services is not essential
  • Demonstrate the ability to pro-actively organise & plan in your own work, looking up to a month ahead, using various methods, such as Excel planners, Outlook calendars and Microsoft Teams.
  • Show good decision-making capability
  • Be receptive to all types of feedback.

Location

We are open to discussion around remote working possibilities (UK only). This role is 80% office based split between our three offices in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport
