"An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 4+ years PQE (Grade B) fee earner within the Clinical Negligence Team Admiral Law. This is a chance to be part of a growing department, within a market-leading firm.
You will be responsible for running your own case load of claimant clinical negligence cases from inception to settlement, ensuring the optimal outcome is achieved, whilst at all times acting in the best interests of your client. Exceptional client care skills are key, as well as good time management and organisational skills.
You will possess the experience to independently manage a caseload varying in both value and complexity. You will be technically proficient and an excellent communicator. You will be committed to delivering a first rate service to clients and will have a good knowledge of the clinical negligence pre action protocol and the CPR.
You will be based in our Cardiff office, with core hours of 37.5 per week (Part time applicants may apply). The role is one which aligns with our Smart Working model, meaning your days will be split both at home and in the office.
The core hours are 8.30/9.00am – 5.00pm/5.30pm, however there is an expectation inherent to this role that, when required, a fee earner will need to travel to attend upon clients, witnesses and/or experts/counsel that may lead to either exceeding these hours or staying away overnight in a hotel. Similarly attending Court hearings, trials or conferences/joint settlement meetings may require extended time out of the office. Work outside normal hours is subject to recovery through the department’s flexi-time scheme.
You will be supported in your role by a case assistant and you are expected to delegate appropriate work to your assistant and provide guidance and feedback to them as appropriate to assist in their development.
