Senior Researcher

The team is looking for an experienced user researcher, who will be confident in planning and leading research activities. They will be equally comfortable applying a range of research methods to gather, analyse and synthesise customer data, and industry trends.

Design sits centrally within the growth team – tasked with growing customer numbers, premiums and engagement. You will work with colleagues in marketing, data analytics, sales and product. The design team consist of UI, UX and service designers working in squads to develop, test and iterate on our range or products.

Veygo is an independent company within Admiral Pioneer, a new business within Admiral Group with the objective of seeding, launching, and scaling start-ups.

Veygo is at the forefront of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) revolution and is growing fast. We want to make life easier for those wishing to share cars, use their own temporarily, or for learner drivers looking to practice in a family member’s or friends’ car. In short, we want to help people be able to get behind the wheel of a car, even if they don’t own one.

Responsibilities

As Senior Researcher, you will be responsible for:

• Uncovering actionable insight to influence product and business decision making
• Contributing to a repository of UX knowledge and deep insights
• Working with UX and service designers to replay findings in rich digestible formats
• Inspire the team to be curious and think innovatively about customer learning

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Experience of moderated and unmoderated data gathering techniques
• Comfortable with tools such as UserZoom, Optimizely, Session-cam and Optimal workshop
• Experience of segmentation / persona creation and survey question design
• An understanding of the entire end-to-end design process, from research and ideation, to problem-solving for users
• Experience of both formulative and evaluative research
• Experience working within agile development teams
• The codifying of qualitative research data

It would be beneficial if you also had:

• Experience of analytics (GA or similar)
• Experience of diary studies
• Experience of site surveys, exit surveys and in app data gathering
• Conducting research across multi channel products including journeys with physical elements such as retail points, delivery and telephony systems.

Our Recruitment Process 

• CV Screening
• 25 minute call with Jawad Ahmed (Head of Design)
• 1st Stage Interview: the interview will focus on both behavioural and cultural skills, conducted by Jawad and a member of the design team. 1st stage interviews will be week commencing 14th of February.
• 2nd Stage Interview: the interview will focus on both behavioural and technical skills, conducted by Jawad and David. 2nd stage interviews will be week commencing 21st of February.

Additional Info

Due to Covid-19 the whole Veygo team is working remotely. We will provide you with everything you need to work comfortably from home. We expect you to be working remotely for the foreseeable future, however, after it's safe to return to the office, we have days when the whole team comes together. You can choose how many days you can be in the office as long as we see your face from time to time.

This role is remote with travel to the office in Cardiff once or twice a month for workshops and team activities.
