In June 2017 Admiral launched a consumer credit loans business, Admiral Financial Services (AFSL) offering unsecured loans and car finance through Hire Purchase and Personal Contract Purchase to consumers.

Admiral Financial Services (AFSL) is an exciting, new divison of Admiral Group based in the the centre of Cardiff. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral.

Role Purpose

The role of Compliance Executive supports the compliance function providing second line assurance across the loans business.

Main Duties

• To identify, communicate and advise on changes in FCA and other associated regulatory and legislative requirements, so that the business meets regulatory and associated industry standards.

• To contribute to the development of departmental procedures and compliance controls through regular reviews and updates including approval of relevant procedures, to ensure standards are in accordance with regulations and associated legislation.

• Provide advice, guidance, direction and interpretation to the business

• Provide review and approval of financial promotions for the loans business, ensuring compliance with Consumer Credit regulations and CONC.

• Handle any Compliance queries that are generated by the organisation in a timely and accurate fashion.

• To provide compliance input into Group developments, including product launches, distribution and systems developments, to pre-empt any changes to regulations and legislation to enable the business to react quickly and effectively.

• Where directed review requirements of the FCA handbook, news articles and relevant CP and PS’s summarising them/preparing a relevant report or bringing them to the attention of the Head of Compliance as necessary.

• Contribute to delivery of the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan

• Continually improve Compliance Review systems and processes

• Reporting to management on levels of Compliance Assurance and/or any issues arising from specific monitoring activity

Skills and Experience

• Experience in a Compliance role, including performing Monitoring reviews

• Sound knowledge of FCA & CCA regulation, including financial promotion approval

• Knowledge of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime

• Preferably experience in Data Protection and knowledge of GDPR

• Experience within car finance market

• Customer focused with strong communication skills

• Strong analytical skills

• Able to think objectively and make timely decisions

• Able to identify poor customer outcomes and make appropriate recommendations to drive change

• Can manage and prioritise workload

**First stage interviews for this role will take place week commencing 23rd August**
