Senior Credit Risk Analyst

A vacancy has arisen within Admiral Money for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst within the Customer Fulfilment team. This role requires you to bring an inquisitive mindset to a rapidly evolving business area that aims to optimise our customer onboarding journeys, whilst minimising our credit and fraud losses.

Admiral Money (AFSL) is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral. 

The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.

We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating a special lending business for our customers.

About the role

The role involves producing analysis and insights that support the onboarding of customers which includes optimising our underwriting strategy, reviewing our affordability assessments, analysing Open Banking data, and much more.

The successful candidate will be able to quickly fit into a fast-moving, innovative and high-profile environment, and will be required to bring your own initiative to the role.

Responsibilities

• Analysing, reporting and optimising the customer referral journey
• Understanding the underwriting strategy and constantly looking for areas of improvement
• Reviewing new products and data services that would improve the customer onboarding journey
• Working with our change delivery teams to embed new products and services such as Open Banking
• Optimise our approach to affordability decisioning, including income verification
• Provide a wide range of analytical work to support the wider acquisition function

Requirements

• An interest and experience in extracting and manipulating data using SAS/SQL, Python and R (or similar data tools)
• An ability to manage and prioritise multiple pieces of work concurrently
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work as processes and systems evolve
• Have the confidence to challenge existing work practices to ensure we are continuously improving as a team
• Able to work on their own initiative with excellent time management and organisation skills
• A strong focus on quality and receptive to feedback

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
