Hybrid

  1. Full time

Closing date

08/07/2025

About the job

The Group finance systems analyst is a key role in maintaining and improving our group financial reporting systems - primarily Workiva which is a globally recognised last-mile reporting solution.  Workiva is used across the Admiral Group for critical regulatory reporting requirements including the production of the Annual Report, allowing different teams (with around 100 users) to work collaboratively whilst ensuring the data is pulled from a single source of truth. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with other finance systems projects, both current systems and future implementations.

This position will allow you to become the Subject Matter Expert on the system and give real responsibility and ownership of the system’s current state and its future direction, making a tangible impact on improving the way things are done. Full training on Workiva will be provided and you will be supported throughout your learning experience to ensure that you have confidence in using the system.

You’ll be reporting directly to the Group Finance Systems Manager and your role will allow you to work collaboratively with various teams across Admiral.

The role can also accommodate working towards an appropriate accountancy qualification if desired, given that the system and data relate directly to group financial reporting.

Main Duties

  • Managing the software day to day, including troubleshooting issues, encouraging best practice and driving continuous improvement
  • Optimising the functionality of Workiva to ensure efficiency in our process
  • Drive the usage of new features whilst making sure they are understood, tested and appropriately brought into the current processes
  • Work closely with various stakeholders across Admiral to ensure consistency across the platform through training and support
  • Liaise with IT to ensure conformity with Admiral’s IT Standards around security
  • Onboard new users and work closely with Identity & Access Management to ensure a smooth process
  • Support the roadmap in implementing the software to other areas of Group Finance and beyond

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Excel competency including use of formulas (lookups, Index/Match, sumifs)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to be clear and concise
  • Ability to work both collaboratively but also comfortable with working independently and with autonomy
  • Comfortable with using new software and being eager to learn how it operates and how its use could be further developed
  • Experience in managing/administrating a software
  • Accounting / Finance background (through experience or qualification)
  • SQL language skills

Please note - we may close this vacancy early if we receive lots of applications or business priorities change.
