Credit Risk and Pricing Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Risk & Pricing Manager to be based in our Italian operation, ConTe, in Rome. 

In this role you will work for the new ConTe Personal Lending Business Unit. You will define and implement the Credit Strategy in collaboration with Admiral Financial Services headquarters and reporting to Head of Loans in Italy. Your goal will be to create a solid and reliable competitive advantage in retail credit decision and profit maximization. Your tasks will include the design of the credit evaluation process, the pricing management and the definition of underwriting rules. You will also work on the data strategy and collaborate with the advanced analytics team to create a roadmap of data excellence.

Responsibilties 

• Design and implement the Credit Risk Strategy and Credit Evaluation process
• Work closely with ConTe and Group management in a diverse and international environment
• Work on creating competitive advantages in Retail Credit Decision and Profit Maximization
• Manage the Credit Decision Engine and Pricing Engine
• Define, manage and maintain the UW rules
• Lead the creation of key management information reports

We are looking for

Essential

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, ideally with Retail Credit Models 
• Minimum bachelor's degree - preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Economics
• Experience managing people
• Talent with numbers: significant experience in analysis, data manipulation and statistical models
• Self-starter attitude and proven autonomy either in project management or team leadership
• Start-up and entrepreneurial mind-set, flexibility and enthusiasm
• Hands-on approach and a solid know-how of analysis tools such as Excel, SAS, MySQL
• Fluency in English 

Desired

• Fluency in Italian, or a willingness to attain a high level of fluency 
• Experience in a retail bank or in a lending firm preferred 
• Experience in pricing, machine learning and advanced analytics tools preferred but not necessary
