The Group Procurement department is responsible for managing and setting Procurement governance, policies, and controls for Admiral Group, with a direct focus on supporting UK businesses with the sourcing of goods and services.

Job Purpose

As Group Supplier Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining best practice and drive positive supplier relationships across Admiral’s Supply Chain.

The role requires the development of a best practice suite of Supplier Relationship / Contract Management tools and templates for use across Admiral’s Federated Supplier Relationship Managers to standardise and drive positive commercial outcomes whilst managing risk.

You will be responsible for the management of a business analyst directly reporting to you. You will be expected to manage the workload of the individual as well as provide support and guidance.

Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Creation, optimisation & risk mitigation from ongoing contractual engagements across a range of services.
  • Partnering with Business Unit Leadership, Procurement, Finance, HR, and others as required, to undertake regular business reviews with strategic suppliers to align on technology and operating model to drive value proposition and performance.
  • Producing accurate reports for senior leadership by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting that data into a standard format.
  • Managing the commercial impact of operational changes and gain supplier approval of such changes.
  • Championing the management of Supplier/s by ensuring operational and business leads perform the required tasks and responsibilities on time.
  • Obtaining accurate performance information from vendors, reviews for completeness and accuracy, and ensure timely communication of information across relevant stakeholders.
  • Defining and executing strategies to drive performance, including quality, customer satisfaction, and cost in partnership.
  • Driving continuous improvement through effective feedback processes to address regulation, policy, and new product challenges from stakeholders.
  • Ensuring a portfolio of suppliers is delivering the required levels of service.
  • Establishing and ensuring continued operationalisation of an effective SRM governance structure that delivers overall relationship and financial oversight, ensuring appropriate regulatory focus on Third Party Risk Management (TPRM.)
  • Be able to challenge supplier costs based on experience in similar areas (IT Software, Hardware, Facilities.)
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and implement strategies that will support the delivery of business objectives.
  • Supporting the development and optimisation of SRM tools, methodology, and practices to implement a Group best-practice approach.
  • Managing and monitoring third party performance against key SLA’s and KPI’s, ensuring any contractual commitments are realised and that the appropriate remedies are implemented where appropriate.

Requirements

You will ideally have;

  • A minimum of 5 years procurement experience specifically in tendering goods and services, spend analysis, contract, and supplier management.
  • Ideally studying towards achieving full chartered status (MCIPS.)
  • Good experience working across various supply chain sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience at a senior level.
  • Management experience.
  • A strong track of delivering value.
  • Experience managing suppliers’ critical or strategic supplier relationships and demonstrating value delivery.
  • Experience of using your own initiative and working proactively on different tasks, while prioritising your own workload.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and IT literate.
