About the role

We are looking for a business leader of the future. Working with the Pioneer leadership team, you will play a large role in defining our strategy, operating model and culture. You will organise our strategic agenda and take an active engagement in the businesses we create, helping them launch and navigate their growth path. This will involve working very closely with the CEO of Admiral Pioneer and her leadership team to prepare and run some of our key forums and meetings (Strategic Planning, Growth Board, Resource Planning). You will work with our Business and Domain leaders to help develop our understanding and exploration of our target domains and the business models and capabilities. Although strategic in nature we are also looking for execution in and through our businesses.

About you

You probably want to build a business in the future and can understand markets, and their opportunities. You will be high energy and articulate and able to mix it up 1:1 and within a wider group

Knowledge and abilities

  • Strong strategic thinker, able to quickly frame complex concepts and use this to drive a debate
  • A strong desire to positively impact or make a market not copy what exists today
  • Comfortable combining customer-first thinking highly commercial and data driven insight approaches
  • Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills with diverse audiences and a desire to work within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • A hands-on approach and desire to work strategically and operationally to shape and add value across our business

Experience

  • Likely to have consulting (Big 4) experience
  • Ideally worked in or around start-up and scale up organisations
  • Have worked in or with a variety of businesses across several industries
  • Background in strategy (org design, market analysis, proposition development)
  • Experience of customer-centric design and building compelling products and propositions
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders and potentially competing agendas
  • Understanding of Go -To- Market and business development/ partnership development

Additional Information

The role will report into the CEO of Admiral Pioneer.

We would expect the successful candidate to migrate from this role into a Business Builder within 24 months.

Due to Covid, the whole Admiral Pioneer team is working remotely. We will provide you with everything you need to work comfortably from home.

We expect you to be working remotely for the foreseeable future, however, once it is safe to return to the office, we will have days when the whole team comes together to collaborate. You can decide if you want to come to the office between 2-5 days per week.

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience.
