Solutions Design Manager

We believe that you can only serve the customer if you truly understand them, and you will have the remit to lead the user-centred design capability within Admiral. You will have accountability to introduce and test new approaches to customer research, insight generation, and rapid prototyping.

Responsibilities 

• You will also lead the development of this capability by coaching the wider customer experience team.  You will lead a centre of excellence for user-centred design within Admiral.
• You will relish the opportunity of a blank sheet and a tricky problem without constraints of an existing product or distribution model.
• You will set a hypothesis and use qualitative insight to arrive at deeper insights to test assumptions as MVP and Beta.
• You will recognise when things aren’t working and be agile in changing course to reflect new data and insight.
• You will lead a centre of excellence for user-centred design within Admiral, supporting internal product and experience teams.
• You will also lead the development of this capability by coaching the wider customer experience team. 

Skills and Experience required

• Curiosty to adopt new approached to product developement, including behavioural science and data analytics.
• Understand and interested in the use of APIs and microservices to create unique customer experiences.
• Adept at guiding teams of colleagues, partners, and start-ups towards a uniting vision.
• Commercially astute and able to balance value and cost.
• A passion for building impactful solutions.
• Deep expertise in ethnographic and immersive customer research (ideally with research qualifications).
• Experienced in service design (ideally with design qualifications and at least five years leading design projects).
• Experience of collaborating with data scientists and technical teams.
