"We’re looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition leader to support and scale our start up businesses Admiral Pioneer and Admiral Money. You will be part of the Talent Acquisition Team, which sits in our People Team. You will be an integral part of both our Admiral Pioneer and Admiral Money businesses so you fully understand the strategy, culture and priorities so you can develop a talent approach that supports the ambitions of the businesses.
This is a hybrid role, and will be expected to come into our Cardiff Head Office every Wednesday
Key Accountabilities
- You will work in partnership with our People team for Admiral Money and Pioneer to lead the way we attract, recruit and ultimately retain talent to Admiral Pioneer and Admiral Money.
- You will lead the development of a strong employer brand proposition, unique to each business, working in partnership with the people team and a wide range of people across the businesses to do so.
- You will bring the employer brand to life through a compelling talent acquisition approach, to evolve our direct hire strategy, continually developing and evolving in line with the market and any business change.
- You will lead the continual development of our resourcing and assessment techniques to make sure they are tailored to the many varied roles we have in Admiral Pioneer and Admiral Money, so that we assess the right capabilities. As part of our growth mindset culture we are always keen to try new approaches.
- You will act as the lead and role model for talent within the businesses, actively driving continuous improvements in our talent strategy to attract the best possible talent.
- You will identify and nurture connections with all relevant and valuable external networks and bodies i.e. FinTech Wales, to promote Admiral Money and Admiral Pioneer and develop a network of pipeline talent.
- You will work with the people team to understand the talent hotspots and lead the team to create a talent pipeline for the growing needs of the businesses.
- Work with the wider Talent team to embed the internal resourcing process to encompass talent pipelines; succession planning that facilitates internal moves across the business.
- Keep abreast of developments in resourcing to ensure the business is utilising the most appropriate approaches to remain competitive in the market place.
- Lead, inspire and develop the Talent team, that is newly formed developing effective ways of working and ensuring that individuals and the team operate effectively
- Demonstrate the leadership mindset that drives a high performing business through personal role-modelling, challenging behaviours and actions as appropriate, and influencing across a broad network of relationships.
Experience
- Experience of working in a specialist HR function and managing the relationship with a wide HRBP population and diverse stakeholders.
- Successfully led a Talent Acquisition team, ideally within a Start Up, Fintech, or within Financial Services
- Proven success in adapting approach and methodology to fulfil different needs for different parts of the business.
- Well-developed influencing skills with experience of influencing at a senior level
- Developed commercial mindset and business knowledge with a good understanding of the business, markets, customer and culture
- An industry expert, that can create and educate on market and talent insights

Admiral Money is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral.
The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.

Salary, Benefits, and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
