"We are enhancing our blending learning offering, delivering impactful and timely learning to our customers across the Admiral Group. So, if you have a knack for developing cutting-edge learning experiences and a drive for implementing change, you could be the technical developer we are looking for.
As part of a re-structure, we are building a new, dedicated team of Learning and Digital Media developers to join a wider team of Learning Consultants, Learning Solution Architects, Learning designers and Facilitators. This is an exciting opportunity to develop learning solutions applicable to all departments which includes leadership, management, wellbeing and D&I, interpersonal, emerging, high potential, change and culture learning pathways.
We are looking for an experienced technical developer who can provide support to the Learning and development team and business in the development and delivery of online learning interventions that will enhance the capability of staff. You will need to be trusted and reliable in design, adhere to the process of creating digital learning resources, contributing to learning outcomes inc stakeholder management, content creation and agreeing milestones, work on multiple projects with other roles on team to ensure all online learning solutions are delivered according to priority and within planned timescales and research and keep up to date of emerging technologies, in order to deliver the most up to date solutions, inc learning new programme language or tech.
As a Learning Developer you will
- Work closely with the designers and deliverers to ensure the correct learning solution is developed from the vision and scope, storyboards provided.
- Code (java script/ html) where appropriate to create content and effects
- Provide technical support when needed
- Solve problems be rewriting code or adding new code that works around the problem.
- Ensure consistently high standards are met with output that compliments both designer and facilitator recommendations
- Create content in line with learning designer specs.
- Bring Tech to life using apps, code, gamification, code system to do what we need audience participation.
- Use interactive and engaging methods of delivery of content with measurable outcomes to fit designer’s brief.
- Work with designer/ facilitator to ensure that the output meets requirements.
- Apply adult learning theories, tools and software as signposted by the designer.
- Media development inc articulate and media
- Review and assign work requests (Senior Dev)
Ideally you will have
- A high level of coding expertise is essential including java script/ html/unity/word press
- Learning gamification, leader boards, chat bots, sims, live feeds development is highly desirable
- Up to date knowledge with new tech learning trends and options
- Adult learning knowledge and experience
- Technical expertise in a range of Digital software tools and technologies (Storyline, Rise, Adobe Suite, CornerStone LMS) etc
- Worked on projects from start to end having to a high standard.
- The ability to manage a complex range of tasks and meet deadlines
- UI/UX Experience
- A curiosity for learning and discovering new or improved approaches and tools.
- Responsive & multi-devices learning design
- Multimedia design and production experience is a plus including video, animation, graphics
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise a variety of work demands

Salary, Benefits, and Work-Life Balance
