About the Role

We are currently expanding the team and are looking for an individual to join and support the continued growth and development of the small business proposition - a digital, flexible and innovative proposition.

This is a perfect role for an underwriter looking for the next challenge and an opportunity to join an exciting new venture.

Main Responsibilities

  • Underwriting decisions - This will be done by interpreting underwriting guidelines.
  • Accept and decline risks – at policy and portfolio level.
  • Apply terms as required.
  • Provide technical assistance on underwriting matters.
  • Involvement in the creation and ongoing development of policy wordings and documents.
  • Engage with the Governance Team to ensure we are compliant with internal process and regulatory requirements to deliver a customer centric proposition.
  • Support Admiral Pioneer’s culture by demonstrating a ‘can-do’ approach.

About You

  • Have an in-depth knowledge of Professional Indemnity, Cyber Crime and SME Package insurance.
  • Previous involvement with wording and documentation production.
  • Experience resolving technical queries by referring to policies, procedures and specifications.
  • Experience in supporting with developing, administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines.
  • Experience with the compilation and analysis of statistics.
  • The ability to think differently in a high energy, challenging and Agile environment.

Additional Information

Due to Covid, the whole Admiral Pioneer team is working remotely. We will provide you with everything you need to work comfortably from home.

We expect you to be working remotely for the foreseeable future, however, once it is safe to return to the office, we will have days when the whole team comes together to collaborate.

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience.
