Your job title would be:
Product Assistant.
Everything we do is focused on the customer, without them we’re nothing, and our mission is simple - remove barriers and replace them with possibilities. Right now we need someone to help us to create, build & launch new products and strengthen our foundations, whilst always thinking of our customers. You will be part of a small “tribe” working together to achieve some big things – the role will be varied and challenging, with lots of support and opportunity for development. You’ll work closely (partly or fully remotely) with your direct team, expert teams in different areas around the business, software engineers, external companies that are helping us along the way and - most importantly - our customers. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the role as you go and put your own stamp on the way you work so you don’t have to be a passenger.
The stuff you’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting Product Owners in building, launching, and developing products
- Talking to our customers to understand the jobs they need to do in their lives and how we can best help them
- Collaborating with our expert teams in design, marketing, data & pricing, customer operations, compliance and engineering on delivering better customer experience
- Helping to define product improvements by using tools such as Tableau (product data) and Sessioncam (videos of customers using the site)
- Regularly carrying out research on the market and our competitors, for both existing products and new product concepts
- Helping to identify current and future market opportunities
- General support and administrative tasks when required
We need you to:
- Be obsessed with our customers and the ways in which we can add value to their lives
- Communicate excellently, both verbally and written
- Want to build a career – there will be lots of opportunities for you at Veygo, and we need you to be proactive in pushing yourself to the next level
- Build and maintain awareness of the market, the changes happening around us and the finer details of the products we offer
- Use Word and Excel comfortably (we can teach you how to use the other programmes we use)
- Be curious - want to learn everything you can and never be afraid to ask “why?”
- Always have your eye on the details and be super organised
- Be comfortable with change – we’re always adapting as a company and so your role and the structure around you may change / evolve
These would be great, but not a deal breaker:
- Previous experience in a product role
- A good track record of gathering customer feedback and turning it into product improvement ideas
- Some experience of helping to manage projects
- Able to spot trends in data and come up with ideas to influence it
