An exciting opportunity has arrisen in a relatively new area of AFSL.

This role will involve working within the Late arrears Collections Team, specialising in Insolvency & Debt management plans. We are looking for someone who is willing to challenge processes and procedures to make positive improvements to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with our Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVA’s), Debt Management Plans (DMP’s), Bankruptcy & Debt relief order cases.
  • Ability to challenge, negotiate and possible reject any of the above.
  • Liaising with third parties via various ways of communication, including telephone and email.
  • Support and guide customers through challenging financial times
  • End to end Administration of all insolvency and DMP cases.
  • Scrutinising and making decisions on IVA & DMP proposals, this includes reviewing Income and expenditures and bank statements.
  • Ability to make positive changes & adapt our policies and principles using own initiative.

Skills required:

  • Time management and organisational skills - ability to prioritise tasks quickly and efficiently
  • High personal and work standards - attention to detail and accuracy of records
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will have regular contact with customers and Third parties.
  • Ability to work alone effectively and part of a team.
  • Confident with working on Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a Late arrears Collections environment with previous experience with customers that fall into the below categories:

  • Individual Voluntary arrangements /Trust Deeds
  • Debt management plans/Debt Arrangement Schemes
  • Bankruptcy/Sequestrations
  • Debt Relief order

This role would ideally suit someone who has previously worked as an IVA advisor or a debt specialist/debt advisor.
