We have a new exciting opportunity to join our growing Household Claims department as a Technical Fraud Handler. We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our team of Technical Fraud experts and make a difference by countering our fraud exposure across the Household Claims department.

Responsibilities

  • You will manage a portfolio of high-value household claims investigations, involving complex and technical fraud scenarios.
  • You will conduct thorough and detailed investigations, using a variety of tools and techniques, such as data analysis, interviews, site visits, and external experts to ensure they are fully investigated within a timely manner.
  • Ensure we deliver great customer service at all times, whilst remaining alert to suspect/fraudulent activity.
  • You will liaise with customers, solicitors, loss adjusters, and other parties involved in the claims process. You will be expected to take part in collaborative meetings with external suppliers throughout the investigation process.
  • You will act as a Subject Matter Expert , providing guidance, support, and training to other handlers and colleagues across the department and wider business.
  • You will build and maintain relationships with other departments, such as Underwriting, Claims, and Risk, and represent the best interests of the team across the business.
  • You will work closely with external counter fraud suppliers to assist with the investigation of suspect claims.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested according to the needs of the Household Claims department or company to ensure business targets are achieved.
  • You will act as a point of contact (both internal and external) for Technical Household Fraud matters.

Requirements

  • You will have a practical knowledge base of household claims, preferably with a focus on counter fraud investigation.
  • Have a passion for fraud identification and willingness to combat fraud.
  • You will have a strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, and processes, as well as fraud trends and techniques.
  • You will have excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • You will have a customer-centric approach, with the ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
