"A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join People Services as Diversity and Inclusion Lead (UK). You will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the Diversity and Inclusion Manager and lead the business in understanding and promoting a sense of belonging for all colleagues. Working with our People Teams, the Diversity and Inclusion Lead (UK) will work with leaders and colleagues across all UK functions with the aim of promoting and improving the Admiral culture.
Skills and Experience Required
- A deep passion and understanding of diversity and inclusion.
- Experience working with people, either in HR or as a people manager.
- Experience in managing stakeholders of all levels.
- Highly organised and the ability to prioritise and multitask within tight deadlines.
- Fluent with excel, Power Point and report writing.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience in working with and interpreting complex data.
- Able to demonstrate strong understanding of the Admiral culture and business.
You will need to:
- Stay up to date on the D&I landscape and principles, keeping themselves and key stakeholders up to date with changes and adapting our approach accordingly.
- Act as an advocate for the whole D&I agenda, understanding its complexity and the impact on our colleagues, business, customers, and community.
- Foster beneficial external partnerships and accreditations to enhance our approach to D&I and enhance our EVP e.g., Women in Finance, Disability Leader status, ABI D&I, Group FTSE women leaders, local businesses to share best practices on D&I.
Role overview
- Support in the development and delivery of our UK diversity and inclusion strategy and roadmap
- Lead on the completion of statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, e.g., Gender pay, FCA/PRA and Association of British Insurers
- Partnering with key teams in PS to champion and lead on the design and delivery to enhance our D&I awareness and educational activities.
- Lead on annual governance checks such as reviewing people policies to meaningfully impact our D&I delivery.
- Manage engagement campaigns to support and promote initiatives across the business and support the growth of our employee network groups – including sharing key updates, education initiatives and D&I strategy to create meaningful action.
- Manage D&I budgets effectively
- Stakeholder engagement
- Lead the annual events planner ensuring it is maintained and delivered for key events throughout the year
- Measure effectiveness and success of initiatives using a range of appropriate channels and analysis of data.

Tell us about you and your Admiral story?
I joined Admiral in October 2020 as a Renewals Consultant. I dealt directly with Renewals queries and then moved into the Customer Value team, dealing with mid-term customers and upselling Multi Product. During my time in the Contact Centres, I helped with Volume Recruitment from time to time, and this prompted me to pursue a full-time role in recruitment, which I started in March 2022.
