The Data Enablement Services includes Data Governance, Data Management, Customer Master, Data Confidentiality (working with Info Security), Data Quality Management, and Retention & Deletion as core components and service areas.
The Data Quality team is responsible for ensuring the right information is available to the right people at the right time, by making sure the quality of data is monitored and improved throughout our business. We proactively monitor key data sources to assess their accuracy and fitness for purpose, while managing data quality issues reported to us from our data community. We are also responsible for developing data quality rules, creating and managing business and data definitions and providing assurance over reports sent to regulators.
The Data Quality Analyst plays a pivotal role within the Data Enablement Services function, supporting multiple teams and capabilities. This role is essential in enabling confident and informed decision-making by enhancing our understanding of the data landscape and proactively managing data quality across the organisation.
The Data Quality Analyst supports the Senior Data Quality Analyst and the wider Data Enablement Services team through a range of activities, prioritising the delivery of the team’s work in order to provide the business with their data assurance needs. As a key member of the broader Data Enablement team, you will create an environment of collaboration, agility, innovation and ownership in support of the team and overall business ambitions.
Main Duties
- Implement and maintain Data Quality technical and process solutions.
- Maintenance of Data Quality discovery, profiling and exceptions.
- Identification and documentation of Data Quality issues.
- Maintenance of the Data Quality Issues Log.
- Production of Data Quality dashboards and reports for various stakeholders.
- Maintenance of remediation activities associated with Data Quality issues.
- Support for Root Cause Analysis.
- Support the delivery of services to assist in the mitigation of Data Quality Risk.
- Support the Data Stewards and Data Assurance Specialists to ensure requests. are responded to in a timely and complete manner.

Skills & Qualifications
- Good understanding of Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Management best practices.
- Experience with data quality tools and components such as Collibra, Google Cloud Data Catalog, and Sparx.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Pragmatic and practical, with ability to tailor methods, principles and standards to appropriate situations and audiences.
- Excellent communication, for example conveying information to diverse audiences in a way that is easily understood and actionable.
- Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to driving data quality adoption
- Commercially aware, detail-oriented, and forward-looking.
- Relationship management, for example creating relationships and quickly building trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Working on own initiative, with the ability to introduce fresh thinking to the role.

- Qualification such as CDMP Associate or above highly desirable.

Location
This is a remote role with a requirement to attend our Cardiff office around 12 times per year. This can sometimes be for a few days at a time.
