"A very exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Bank Reconcilliation team, as the Bank Reconcilliation Manager!
You will lead a fundamental control function within EUI finance to ensure the accurate and timely completion of reconciliations across all bank accounts.
We’re looking for someone with experience in leading a busy team to maintain key systems and controls for bank reconciliations with a focus on continually strengthening the control environment.
You’ll be reporting directly to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for the effective operation of all bank reconciliation controls as well as the line management of eight staff.
Main duties:
- Managing the effective operation of the bank reconciliation control across all EUI bank accounts
- Identifying the root cause and ensuring prompt resolution of unreconciled items
- Management and supervision of the bank reconciliation team ensuring continuous improvement through coaching and mentoring of individuals
- Ensure effective risk monitoring and control systems are in place and regularly reviewed
- Reporting on key performance indicators, such as KRIs and GMS (Group Minimum Standards)
- Management and development of the relationship with our reconciliation software provider
- Support the business as an SME in the delivery of new payments functions and products in respect of the impact on bank reconciliations
- Develop a broader understanding of the importance of the control function and interaction of data flows with financial accounting and reporting
- Develop data driven business cases for work to strengthen financial controls
Key skills, qualifications and experience:
Essential
- Previous experience of managing/supervising an operational finance team
- Strong organisational skills - Ability to process high work volumes and maintain high accuracy is essential
- Strong analytical, data interpretation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to negotiate and influence a range of business stakeholders
- Book-keeping or experience in basic accounting
- Continuous improvement mind-set
Desirable
- Experience in a shared service centre environment would be beneficial
- AAT qualification

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
