As an Official Injury Claims Case Handler, you will represent clients who have suffered injuries due to road traffic accidents, helping them pursue claims for damages against the Defendant. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of claims, investigating the circumstances of accidents, collecting medical evidence to support clients' claims, valuing the injuries sustained, and gathering all necessary documentation related to their losses.
Recognising that this can be a challenging time for our clients, you will be there from the onset of their claims, providing reassurance and empathy while advising them on the best path forward. In this fast-paced position, you will efficiently manage and advance your own caseload using our in-house case management system, ensuring compliance with our key client metrics and keeping clients updated on progress at every stage.
Main Responsibilities and Requirements
- Ability to prioritise and manage a full caseload
- Proactively reviewing accident circumstances and any relevant case law
- Assessing and investigating liability
- Reviewing Medical Reports & valuing injury claims
- Reviewing financial losses
- Advising clients in respect of liability and quantum
- Considering prospects and taking a pragmatic approach to settlements
- Prioritising and managing a to do list
- Great telephone manner
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to make decisions
- A strong team ethos and willingness to engage
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good initiative and ability to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Experience of handling claims of this nature is helpful but not essential
- A genuine interest in law and be willing to learn new skills and approaches to tasks
- Numeracy, Literacy and IT skills are vital, and you will need to be a great communicator
- You will need to be able to manage your time effectively, ensuring adherence with service legal agreements and deadlines
- Be able to prioritise your work in what can be a busy environment
- Problem solving and the ability to weigh up various approaches and then action the appropriate solution
- Eagerness to “get stuck in”, whilst you maintain strong attention to detail
- Enthusiastic about delivering great service
- Desire to perform to the best of your abilities

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance
We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
