As a UX Researcher at Admiral, you will take responsibility for ensuring our online self-service applications meet the needs of our customers.

You will build a deep understanding of customer needs and wants, and you will plan, facilitate and analyse UX testing and other methodologies, in order to test our applications deliver on those needs and wants.

You will be part of Admiral’s Digital Product department, working within the Design team.  On a day to day basis you will be working closely with the design team, product owners and developers.  You will develop a deep understanding of the problems we are targeting, the solutions we are exploring and the hypotheses that are being tested.  You will help create effortless digital customer experiences, refining our digital products, and bringing our digital vision/strategy to life.

You will support our tribes and squads in planning deliveries that may benefit from testing and define timeline, scope and methodology for testing.  You will consult the teams on the most relevant research approach in each case and lead the design of each study, championing research best-practices and ensuring aspects such as the recruitment and analysis methods are appropriate.

Where relevant, you will be conducting the research personally.  Your focus will be running usability tests alongside other UX/UI designers with prototypes and live products to identify pain points and ensure that the current experience is constantly improving.  Also running research projects, such as new product and new product functionality discovery.

There will be an operational component to the role as you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of each research piece.  You will lead the analysis and distillation of the research, helping the design and product teams to understand findings and use them to improve the product and customer experiences.
