"The Admiral Digital Department is looking for an experienced and driven Programme Manager, initially to take ownership of the delivery of an exciting and strategically important programme and more generally to support the Digital Transformation Strategy.
Job Purpose
We’re seeking to improve our capture, storage and use of customer data where there’s a need to understand and balance the key deliverables associated with single customer view with existing business capabilities. CDP / SCV tech is an aspired route but the understanding and definition of how we get there is less clear, as well as the wider eco system and business readiness needed. This change also supports our diversification and cross-sell competency ambitions; therefore, any relevant experience will be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will have to have demonstrable experience in implementing Martech solutions and managing projects or programmes spanning multiple business areas. Admiral has diverse product holdings across multiple business units, and it is, therefore, essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate successful delivery in this type of environment.
They will need to be driven by success, passionate about collaboration, and highly proactive in planning, anticipating issues, and solving problems. They will need to be well organised and confident in communicating to all levels. It is crucial to motivate and unify a team of wide-ranging interests, skills, and personalities.
The individual must be confident, technically competent in Martech technologies and strategies, but equally able to articulate complex technical concepts in plain English that is appropriate to the audience. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their ability to deliver in a fast-paced, matrix organisation.
About the Team
Digital comprises five teams; Digital Channels, Digital Product, Marketing, Price Comparison, and the newly formed Transformation, Risk and Governance team. Collectively, we are responsible for all Marketing activity across Admiral UK and manage the relationships with the Price Comparison Websites. We are responsible for all online customer transactions and contact, from online sales, webchat, direct and cross-sell marketing, MyAccount contacts and everything in-between.
The role will work closely with teams within the department, our IT delivery teams, and broader business stakeholders.
Customers increasingly prefer to use digital channels to manage their financial relationships with companies. Digital contact provides a chance to delight customers with convenience, speed and simplicity.
Getting digital right gives us a chance to create a genuine competitive advantage. However, lagging in this area also creates a significant risk of disruption from other providers, impacting our strategic targets. We have a massive opportunity to transform our approach to digital creating value through driving digital customer growth, cross-sell and retention, cost transformation and reducing loss.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the PM lead on various projects and programmes of work, both within Digital and more broadly across Admiral where Digital are impacted.
- Ensure all projects/programmes are fully documented, with appropriate governance meetings, stakeholder engagement and approval.
- Work with various teams to ensure projects/programmes are delivering according to the agreed delivery roadmap and cost, maintain a consistent and challenging pace, and set up to provide the anticipated benefits.
- Supporting business owners with developing a business case, providing the relevant input to support investment and a plan to realise the benefits.
- Proactive identification and resolution of risks and issues.
- Developing and maintaining a close relationship with business stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation.
- To support the Head of Department with establishing and maintaining appropriate programme strategy, processes and oversight for the Digital and Marketing Department.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Proven track record as a Project/Programme Manager. A relevant qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Extensive Martech Project/Programme Management experience.
- Experience in delivering in a Scaled Agile organisation.
- Proven leadership skills to drive change and deliver business outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Managing complex technology and business programmes end to end.
- Extensive experience in planning, budgeting, financial management and governance.
- Strong understanding of current and horizon technology.
- Comfortable working at pace and with an acceptance of ambiguity.
- Business and IT transformation and change experience in a complex organisational structure.
Location
Admiral is returning to a more normal working pattern following the last two years of reacting to the pandemic. The role will be a hybrid role, with the home office being Cardiff, and there is an expectation that around 40% of the time will be spent in the office, with the remainder remote.
