About the role

Please note: this is a hybrid role based in our Cardiff office on a weekly basis.

We’re seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our finance team and take a high-impact, high-visibility, hands-on role supporting the growth of Admiral Pioneer ventures.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Senior FP&A Manager will be an integral part of the finance team and will progressively take ownership of financial planning and performance reporting for Admiral Pioneer.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with some of the fastest growing ventures and varied insurance propositions (e.g. temporary mobility, future of work) within Admiral Group, with unparalleled exposure to senior leadership teams and board-level, as well as the opportunity to oversee a high impact function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Budgeting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting for Pioneer Ventures, collaborating with leadership teams to build robust, accurate plans that align with each venture’s strategic goals.
  • Strategic Performance Reporting: Deliver regular updates on performance of key financial metrics and work with executive teams to optimise performance.
  • Board-Level Impact: Prepare & deliver regular updates to Pioneer Board on business performance
  • Partnering with Leadership Teams: Work closely with CxO and functional leaders to understand their objectives, solve complex business problems, and model scenarios to drive growth.
  • Ad-Hoc Financial Projects: Lead special projects, such as evaluating new growth opportunities, partnerships, contracts or cost optimization strategies.

About you:

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), accounting, finance or a related role, preferably in the insurance, financial services, or startup ecosystem.
  • A clear appetite and ability to take responsibility of a high-visibility, high-impact function
  • Experienced and comfortable with dealing with senior executives
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Exceptional analytical & data skills, with a proven ability to crunch complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment whilst managing multiple priorities.
  • Versatile and eager to cover all aspects of Finance & Insurance
