Procurement Manager

Admiral Money are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager on a 12 month contract to cover Maternity leave.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Partnerships in Admiral Money the Procurement Manager will be responsible for our strategic deployment & management of Admiral Money Suppliers. Ensuring we are maximising value of these services, minimising risk and above all maintaining good customer outcomes from our 3rd party services.

You will be data-driven, organised, collaborative and personable. The successful candidate will need to have excellent internal and external stakeholder management, as well possessing the ability to negotiate on commercial and contractual matters, in addition to challenging partners in respect of their performance.

You will be expected to secure meaningful and productive relationships, which requires regular face-to-face contact and external meetings (via video conference at the moment).

Admiral Money (AFSL) is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral. 

The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.

Responsibilities

• Work with Admiral Money to develop sourcing strategies to drive value and proactively manage contract renewals.
• Identify and manage the appropriate sourcing process to meet the expectation of the business, governance and ability to drive value.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and negotiate with suppliers to drive value.
• Build and maintain reciprocally beneficial relationships with all third parties within Admiral Money.
• Support the business with the onboarding and offboarding suppliers.
• Work with Admiral’s legal team on contract review and sign off.
• Ensure we are receiving the best value for money from contracts.
• Act as a subject matter expert for procurement.
• Line management of Executives who are responsible for the day-to-day running and optimisation of our Procurement department.
• Comply with the Group Procurement and Outsourcing, Contracts Authorisation, Conflicts of Interest and Corporate Gifts & Hospitality policies.

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have: 

• Experience managing large, complex tender exercises and supplier/partner management.
• Ability to balance and effectively prioritise a varied and sometimes time-sensitive workload.
• A Strong track record of delivering value.
• Experience in commercial & contractual negotiation.
• Relationship management and networking experience.

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
