Mortgages Test Analyst Originations and Servicing

Admiral Money is a growing financial services business and is on track to become a strategic pillar within the Admiral Group. We have a vacancy for a Senior Test Analyst to join us in the mortgages team.

Role Overview

This role involves developing and maintaining high-quality test artefacts for the mortgages platform across Originations and Servicing. You will ensure software robustness and suitability for production release, provide testing expertise, share best practices, and develop process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguard against defects and testing-related risks.
• Collaborate with test teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Engage in requirements refinement and create high-quality test artefacts.
• Execute functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Test scheduled releases and priority production hot fixes.
• Identify and set up test data.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Report and manage defects, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution.
• Deliver testing activities on schedule and support team needs.
• Develop solutions to mitigate test data/environment limitations.
• Suggest improvements to current processes.
• Peer review test collateral and provide feedback.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and defect triage calls.
• Apply appropriate testing techniques and tools.
• Provide progress updates and highlight risks to stakeholders.

Key Competencies

• Expertise in Mortgage servicing and Originations.
• Knowledge of Mortgage products and characteristics impacting testing.
• Ability to analyze complex requirements and determine suitable test coverage.
• Validate financial calculations (affordability, LTVs, APRCs, payment schedules).
• Experience testing complex applications with third-party APIs.
• Knowledge of various testing methodologies.
• API testing and analysis.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and a team player.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workload.
• Expertise using JIRA for test management and defect reporting.
• Strong communication skills, simplifying technical information for non-testers.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of 2nd charge mortgages.
• Automated testing with Playwright, TypeScript, JSON, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Phoebus mortgage servicing system.
• Experience with Xray test management tool, Postman, Amazon Connect, Confluence, BrowserStack, and accessibility testing.
• Mobile testing using real devices and emulators/simulators.
