The role

We’re looking for a Lead Pricing Analyst to join our growing team and play a key role in shaping the pricing strategy across our diverse portfolio of Commercial Lines products. This is a hands-on role where you’ll apply advanced analytics and commercial insight to develop pricing models that balance competitiveness, profitability, and customer fairness.

You’ll also support and guide a small team of pricing analysts, collaborating closely with colleagues in Product, Underwriting, Data, and across the wider Admiral Group to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver Impact: Design, develop, and implement pricing models and strategies across multiple products (e.g., SME, Taxi, Minifleet).
• Apply Technical Expertise: Use advanced analytical techniques and statistical modelling to generate actionable insights that inform pricing and business decisions.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Product, Underwriting, and Data teams to ensure pricing outcomes deliver commercial value and positive customer experiences.
• Support Development: Provide technical and analytical leadership, mentoring analysts to grow their skills and confidence.
• Champion Improvement: Monitor performance, identify pricing opportunities, and lead test-and-learn initiatives to optimise outcomes.
• Ensure Compliance and Fairness: Align pricing decisions with FCA requirements, Admiral’s governance standards, and principles of customer value.
• Communicate Effectively: Present findings, insights, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Relevant Experience: Demonstrated expertise in pricing or actuarial analysis within UK general insurance (typically 5+ years).
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Python, R, or SAS, with experience working with large datasets using SQL.
• Clear Communicator: Ability to explain complex analytical concepts in a clear and engaging way for a range of audiences.
• Collaborative Leadership: A proactive approach to ownership and a commitment to supporting others’ development.
• Innovative Mindset: Curiosity about emerging trends in insurance and a drive to explore new approaches.
