An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainer to join our growing Household Claims Training Team.

We are looking for an individual who has a grasp of all things training related, who can demonstrate an understanding of claims matters and can use their experience to engage and develop the department. Our Trainers support all areas within HH Claims; however, the successful candidate will be focusing on the Complex Claims teams, taking ownership of delivering and delivering Case Management Inductions. The successful candidate will have a key role to play in this area of work. Therefore, household experience will be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be confident and an excellent communicator, who can capture the attention of their delegates and motivate people through the medium of training. The successful candidate will also have the ability to engage with the wider department, becoming a visible and valuable presence, to support and develop all. The successful candidate will preferably have experience in training and be able to demonstrate a highly organised approach to dealing with a varied and interesting workload. The ability to manage your time effectively is important; the role will include engaging with the wider department, training design, delivery of training, regular training needs analysis and project work. 

This is a cross-site role, so travel to all UK sites may be required.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in carrying out a training needs analysis of the department
  • To deliver training sessions as required
  • Researching, designing and building of training sessions to ensure they meet the required needs and obtaining sign off from department stakeholders
  • Creating and maintaining an awareness of HH Claims Training within the department
  • Engaging within the department, supporting the management team and adding value to the area
  • Assist in developing accurate ways of measuring the success of the training delivered 
  • Building on your current knowledge to ensure that you can provide training in all areas of Household claims
  • Liaising with and supporting Team Managers with the delivery of training
  • Deliver Inductions to staff either externally or internally recruited
  • Develop induction material and modify on a regular basis

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in training delivery, ideally within the insurance or claims sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the household claims process, including policy coverage, liability assessment and settlement procedures.
  • Would be desirable to have experience in escape of water claim, including identifying causes, managing coasts and customer communication.
  • Excellent Communication skill, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
  • Ability to adapt training materials to suit different learning styles and levels of experience.
  • Strong Organisational and time management skills.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications in learning & development, training or insurance.
  • Familiar with FCA regulations and industry best practices.
