FP&A Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to join one of the fastest growing parts of Admiral Group as a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst.

About Admiral Money

Admiral Money (AFSL) is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral. 

The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.

We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating a special lending business for our customers.

About the role

The FP&A Analyst is a newly created role, reporting into the Head of FP&A in a dynamic finance team and at an exciting time for the business.  This role will be responsible for supporting in finance-centric activity around analysis and reporting, but also play an important role in supporting the wider business in strategic decision making.  This role is an exciting opportunity for someone to really make their mark in a business of increasing importance to Admiral Group and has the potential for great exposure to senior members of both Admiral Money and the wider business.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the annual budgeting and regular forecasting cycles, developing the suite of models used and improving processes to reduce manual inputs and maintain integrity and accuracy of outputs.
• Gain clear financial understanding of any business case proposals and projects, including cost drivers, KPIs and outcomes expected, challenging where required.
• Business partnering – building great relationships with stakeholders throughout the business, working with them to ensure that the expertise you have to offer is placed within the real and current concerns of the business to create value.
• Support delivery of financial plans through timely and accurate analysis, reporting and highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances.
• Regularly influencing and presenting key findings from financial analysis to senior finance management.

Requirements

• Experience within a finance function desirable (advantageous if financial services), either within management reporting or a planning and analysis role.
• Proven numerical and accounting experience, fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferable.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to comfortably build and operate complex financial models.
• Experience of using analysis and insight to drive business decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences and a desire to work within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

Salary, Benefits and Work-Life Balance

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
