"Job Purpose
Change assurance is an important aspect of project delivery, ensuring that an independent review is undertaken to identify, assess and escalate potential risks and issues to both project delivery and the wider business.
The role is based in the EUI Risk team, supporting the Senior Change Assurance Manager to provide oversight and challenge to transformation and change projects throughout EUI.
The successful applicant will act as a business partner and ‘critical friend’ to the change community, deliver monitoring, challenge and risk based advice to the business with regards to EUI’s portfolio of change.
Main Duties
- Leading on a schedule of assurance activities across the EUI change portfolio, identifying, assessing and reporting on potential risks and issues to project delivery and to the wider business.
- Providing oversight and support to a wider schedule of internal and external project health checks and assurance reviews.
- Ensuring projects have appropriate levels of assurance for the complexity of the project.
- Developing the change assurance framework within EUI including the implementation and embedding of the tools and processes required to support the assurance activities.
- Promote and embed enterprise risk management (ERM) processes, awareness and understanding across the EUI change community in order to minimise customer detriment and financial losses.
- Assess the impact of change within the business against Admiral’s risk profile, ensuring timely identification of key themes and emerging risks, issues and exposure, and providing recommendations to management to mitigate and resolve potential issues.
- Reporting and escalating on risks and issues associated with EUI change projects to Project Sponsors, Head of EUI Risk and relevant management committees.
- Represent EUI Change Assurance in relevant Committees, working groups and meetings.
- Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships across EUI, performing the role as a ‘critical friend’ to the business.
This is not a full definition of the role but covers the main aspects and drivers for success.
