DevOps Engineer

Admiral Money is hiring and we're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. You will join a talented, modern DevOps team working on the latest technologies and platforms: AWS, Terraform, GitLab, Kubernetes and constantly exploring more. 

You will be working in a growing environment that prioritises automation, CI/CD and the latest technology to support the development teams.

Together with your colleagues you will own the maintenance, deployment, improvement and troubleshooting of all the systems that compose the Admiral Money infrastructure.

About Admiral Money

Admiral Money is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral. 

The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.

We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating a special lending business for our customers. 

Responsibilities

• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
• Manage CI/CD tools
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve
• Work with the team to support test, deployment and integrity of new products and features
• Participate in code reviews, retros and demos

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience in a DevOps role 
• Expertise in a broad range of AWS resources
• Knowledge of security best practice within AWS
• Experience of container orchestration framework administration and deployment
• Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform, in a production environment
• Experience with Agile, scrum & cross-functional teams

Desirable

• Expertise in monitoring and alerting services and platforms
• Linux system administration
• Specific experience in certain AWS areas including Connect, Workspaces and data platforms
• Experience of container based CI/CD tooling
