We’re looking for someone who can help us better understand our customers and the market they live in. The Customer Research Assistant role within the UK Holistic team is designed to support the delivery of both customer and market insight across the business. This role blends customer research and competitor intelligence to help shape strategic decisions, ensuring the business remains customer-centric and market-aware.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has come up to join the UK Holistic team as a Customer Research Assistant. This is a fantastic role for someone passionate about research and insight — someone who enjoys uncovering what customers think, feel, and need, and turning that into stories that influence real business decisions.
You’ll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive team that’s deeply curious about customer and market behaviour. The role blends structured, routine reporting with a wide variety of research topics — from testing customer documents for clarity, to exploring product fairness, to analysing hot topics shaping the financial services landscape.
You’ll take ownership of key market insight reports and collaborate on customer and consumer research projects, including online surveys, virtual focus groups, and interviews. With access to a wide range of tools and resources, and exposure to stakeholders at all levels, this is a great opportunity to grow your research skills and make a meaningful impact. You’ll be supported with coaching, mentoring, and access to external training to help you grow your research expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation and testing of online surveys, focus group guides, and interview transcripts
- Assist in the running, and data collection of, focus groups and interviews
- Analyse research data and market trends to create and deliver insight reports
- Maintain and develop pre-existing insight reports around competitor / market activity, as well as current and future consumer trends relevant to our products and customer base
- Support the communication of news stories, industry reports (e.g. Mintel), and supplier insights
- Create and deliver research email communications via Adobe
- Build knowledge of insight tools and become a subject matter expert
- Present insights in a clear, storytelling, and actionable format to stakeholders
Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative research
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Familiarity with survey platforms and research tools
- Ability to interpret research findings and communicate them clearly
- Understanding of customer behaviour, market trends, or competitor activity
- Confident presenting insights to stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with tools such as Adobe and Canva is a plus
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
