"Admiral Law was created in 2013 to provide legal assistance for Admiral customers that had been involved in Road Traffic Accidents. The aim is to ensure those customers are given a great service. Taking the burden and stress of an accident away from a client is at the forefront of Admiral Law’s aim, whilst ensuring employees give correct and effective legal advice to the get fair compensation for their losses.
The Compliance Team is looking for an experienced and dynamic case handler to join the team as a Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will undertake; complaints handling, the investigation of potential negligence claims and advising on ethical queries including potential conflicts of interest. They will also be required to provide feedback on the results of investigations.
This role is a vital one for Admiral Law, to ensure that we can provide all of our clients with excellent service, that we learn from any errors we make and that all of our staff are assisted in being the best they can be through constructive feedback and support.
Duties
- To log and analyse Expressions of Dissatisfaction when required
- To log, investigate and respond to complaints which includes discussing complaints with clients over the telephone and drafting formal complaint response letters
- To identify any training needs to be addressed, which have come to light as a result of any notification to compliance
- To give constructive feedback to case handlers, as to the quality of the work they are producing, via their Team Manager or Operational Manager
- To correspond with the Legal Ombudsman (LeO) and provide documentation required for the investigation of complaints
- To investigate potential negligence claims and draft appropriate action plans
- To review ethical queries including potential conflicts of interest and advise on the relevant action to be taken
- To answer compliance related queries from all staff members; including specific queries on the Codes of Conduct
Competencies
- Knowledge and experience of personal injury case handling
- An eye for detail
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to draft a concise action plan
- The ability to be discrete and tactful
- Communication skills - i.e. happy to talk to staff at all levels in the business
- Dispute resolution skills – i.e. happy to discuss complaints with clients
- Good computer skills. Excel and File Stream competence would be an advantage.
- The ability to make objective and fair decisions regarding complaints
Experience
The role will be ideally suited to case handlers who have at least 1 year of experience of dealing with liability disputed personal injury cases who are looking for a new challenge and are confident dealing with dissatisfied clients. Experience of the litigation process would be an advantage, as would a working knowledge of OIC claims.
Location
Our whole business is working in a hybrid mode (2 days at the office in Cardiff per week). Please do not hesitate in querying this with the Recruitment Officer if needed.
