Compliance Advice Manager
We have an exciting opportunity to join the UK Insurance (EUI Limited) Function’s Compliance department with a role based in the Compliance Advice Team. As a Manager within the EUI Compliance Department, you will be passionate about supporting a variety of teams to comply with regulatory requirements and deliver good outcomes to our customers.
About the Team
The role of the team is to provide customer-focused regulatory advice, guidance, and support across all UK Insurance Functions, ensuring they deliver good outcomes to customers and comply with regulatory requirements.
As a Compliance Advice Manager, you will support the implementation and ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements by providing independent review and guidance. The role is varied and can involve providing advice on smaller ad-hoc queries, through to larger scale regulatory change projects or new product launches.
Main Duties
In line with Regulatory Rules and Guidance:
- Provide advice, guidance, direction, and interpretation on FCA regulatory requirements and developments.
- Ensure both conduct and regulatory risks are fully considered for all new developments, product enhancements, and product reviews.
- Offer compliance oversight and support on key regulatory projects, assisting with the assessment and timely implementation of regulatory changes.
- Provide compliance support through attending key meetings (project Steerings, working groups, and committees) and deputises for Senior Manager as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues and establish and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Support the wider team as needed and support the Senior Compliance Manager to develop the team by acting as a mentor to other team members
- Independently lead complex reviews with minimal oversight, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making.
Skills and experience we are looking for
- Have 3-5 years compliance advice experience ideally within General Insurance
- In depth understanding of the Financial Conduct Authority regulatory framework and good experience of all areas of the Insurance Industry. Likely to be a subject matter expert regarding either a regulatory hot topic and or area of Insurance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
- Customer-focused with excellent organisation skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively by challenging the business and suggesting steer/solutions
- Attention to detail, with an analytical mindset.

I currently work within the Tech Recruitment Team as a Recruitment Officer, recruiting for various roles for our IT department, including but not exclusively Software Developers, Cloud Engineers/DevOps Engineers, Architects.
