If this sounds like you, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Complex Property Claims department here at Admiral!

We’re looking for people to join our Project Managed Claims Academy Team to support our customers when they need us most. You will be dealing with a varied and interesting portfolio of claims that may include water damage, fire, theft, subsidence, and storm cases with a value of between £10,000 and £25,000. You will be responsible for ensuring our customers are looked after from the moment we receive their claim to the point at which their claim is settled.

Whilst relevant household claims experience is desirable, it is not essential and full relevant training will be provided to all successful applicants. We believe in investing in our people’s ongoing professional and technical development and successful candidates will therefore not only attend our excellent onboarding training they will also have access to a wide range of ongoing professional development opportunities, including externally accredited courses such as those delivered by the Chartered Insurance Institute and British Damage Management Association.

Responsibilities:

  • Handlers will be responsible for ensuring that customer information is safeguarded at all times, and we follow the Data Protection Act 1998.
  • Handle a case load of high value/complex domestic property damage claims, managing both claims duration and cost.
  • Accurately check all details on a claim and ensure the reserve accuracy throughout the life of the claim.
  • Identify and assist in pursuing recoveries.
  • Adopt a pro-active approach to all claims handling activities.
  • Ensure customers are provided with fair outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Any Insurance qualification is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 2 years household insurance experience
  • A positive attitude to work and maintain general office standards and discipline in accordance with Company Procedures.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team Player.

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
