About the Role
This is a brand new and exciting opportunity to work in a small team based in the Veygo IT department. You will play an important part in deliver our transformation journey. The work will vary from day to day, with a range of requests from all levels of the business.
You will be joining a brand-new team of 3 initially, consisting of a Senior Project Manager and 2 x Business Analysts. The team, and extended team will have a mixed skillset, so we don't expect you to be a master of everything involved, although having a passion to learn is essential. We all love what we do and work hard to do the best job possible. We are about to embark on a very exciting, large transformation programme that will impact the whole business. We will also be heavily involved in supporting changes to the existing products, working with business stakeholders and agile development teams. This is your chance to play a key role in these areas.
Job Purpose
Working in a close and friendly team and reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will help us research and plan all requests that come to us.
You will be the face of the transformation programme and change projects and play a key role in making sure we understand what the business needs from us, but also what our capabilities are to help development. You’ll play an important role in developing features which will provide a real benefit to our customers and business alike. Our primary goal is to provide a great platform that focusses on customer excellence, that keeps our culture at the centre of what everyone does, but also provide functionality to help make everyone’s jobs that little bit easier.
Main Duties
Your main duties will be based around gathering requirements for new features and changes and putting together requirements documents and user stories ready for the delivery teams to work with. You’ll be out in the business daily, meeting staff from all levels, trying to understand what their needs are. You’ll also be expected to report back to the business as we progress through the build process, and be able to help in the decision-making process as we encounter issues. You’ll run regular workshops with staff to run through their feedback, and help promote anything new that we’ve built.
Responsibilities:
- Capture change requirements and work with the delivery teams to make these a reality
- Ensure sign-off of requirements and acceptance criteria by all relevant parties, including business stakeholders
- Act as a liaison between the stakeholder and the delivery teams throughout the implementation
- Regularly meet with people around the business to get feedback and promote the programme

About You
We’re looking for somebody that has previous Business Analyst experience, ideally in the insurance or financial services industry. We’re looking for somebody that’ll make it their own from day one; it’s a great opportunity!
|Knowledge, Abilities, and Experience
Must have:
- Numerate and a logical thinker, with an analytical mind and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrable experience with business and functional requirements analysis
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Drive to deliver excellent customer service
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritise work
- Comfortable leading a group and encouraging a friendly and open forum
- Self-motivated, committed and can quickly understand new concepts and principles
- Good communication skills as the job involves interaction with people from all areas of the business (you’ll need to clearly document both the business requirements and business benefits to help meet the expectations of our stakeholders)
- Team player and a desire to push yourself
Desirable:
- Understanding of Customer Relationship Management, Insurance Claims and/or Policy Administration systems
- Strong aptitude for business process modelling
- Knowledge of Agile working practices
