An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Proposition Product ownership team, responsible for the ideation and prioritisation of the Value Stream and Agile Release Trains (ART) The Product Lead is key to shaping the future of Admiral’s customer facing website. Working within a SAFe scaled agile structure you will be ensuring that we prioritise our I.T. change roadmap in line with our customer needs and therefore ensuring the success of our business. 

The Scaled Agile landscape is an ever-evolving way of working with IT development teams to ensure that we are delivering efficient customer centric change fast.  

Job Purpose

The Product Lead co-leads the Agile release train alongside the IT Delivery Lead. This person is focussed on the Product Vision and sets Key Results (OKR’s) for the ART to achieve. These OKR’s feed into the overarching EUI Targets which align to the company strategy.

The Product Lead will prioritise the backlog for change within their ART, ensure that the requirements are accurate for the IT development team, and that the customer remains at the forefront of all the change we implement.  

Main Duties & Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate and communicate prioritisation of the Marketing Website ART portfolio in all forums. Understand and communicate the vision and value of work assigned to the ART.
  • Feed ideas, opportunities, challenges, and risks into current and future strategy.
  • Represent the customer and ensuring consistency across products
  • Ownership of the Information Architecture and front end metrics on click to journey start
  • Responsibility of merchandising so taking the brand into the sales pages
  • Foster collaboration with the relevant teams to ensure that Admiral’s brand voice and messaging are maintained and consistent
  • Collaborate with Marketing Ops to ensure that Admirals search engine (SEO) rankings are part of the change backlog prioritisation 
  • Partner with business owners, be their primary point of contact for ART portfolio planning and progress. This includes all Marketing team sand core product stakeholders.
  • Master the Data - Analysis and communication of MI, using various analytics tools and internal MI data, tracking performance against targets, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Master the Data - Track performance and benefit realisation. Support business case builds. Set level 2 OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
  • Work closely with shared services and Component teams to continuously enhance experiences.
  • Plays an active role in Proposition Value Stream leadership.
  • Drive continuous preparation of the next planning increments. Co-lead planning increment events.
  • Support coordination and prioritisation of ART dependencies.
  • Responsible for management and development of the Product Owners.
  • Support the delivery lead in driving overall ART performance. Set the vision and serve as an escalation point for conflict resolution.

Experience/Skills Required:

Essential:

  • Strong customer focus.
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective communication to all levels.
  • Ability to build good working relationship within the ART and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at one time.
  • Understanding of our current customer journey and how to improve these with the customer at the forefront of any change.
  • Understand compliance elements that need to be considered to ensure that our customers receive good outcomes.
  • Good business knowledge and understanding.
  • Understand the vision for the product and can create a backlog to help achieve this.
  • People Management experience  
  • Confidence to challenge existing work practices.
  • Understand Agile ways of working and practices.
  • Analytical with problem-solving skills.
  • Is able to create robust business cases and monitor the success of these post release of new change.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within agile teams;
  • Experience of analysing and refining processes and functions;
  • Experience of working within and Agile development structure
  • Understanding of Jira
