UI/UX Designer

We are looking for a talented and passionate UI/UX Designer, working with a successful UX design team, to help build great user experience across our mobile and web applications. In this position you’ll be working alongside Designers, POs, and Development Teams to deliver creative solutions and a consistent user experience across all our products. Please be advised this role is based in Cardiff, due to the role we cannot offer fully remote working.

You will have an eager eye for detail and a passion for problem solving and design thinking. You will be using this passion to translate into user centric designs. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on projects from concepts to presenting to key stakeholders and final development hand off.

Ultimately, you’ll be creating both functional and appealing UI/UX that address our customers’ needs and business goals and learning best practices and emerging trends in user experience design, accessibility, and user interface technology.

‪Key Responsibilities:

• Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes and prototypes.
• Validate your designs through a range of testing methods
• Adhere to style guidelines on fonts, colours, and images
• Design UI elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets etc
• Understanding of user research
• Design responsive layouts
• Create user-friendly experiences from requirements and scenarios.
• Work with design systems and design processes
• Conduct user research/testing

‪Requirements:

• Portfolio of design projects
• Skilled with Sketch, Figma, Adobe CC, Invision, Zeplin
• Creating wireframes and presenting your ideas
• Firm understanding of UX/UI best practices for mobile and web application
• Strong communication skills
• Experience of collaborative working
• Degree in relevant field
• 3+ years as a UI/UX designer
• Follow an iterative User-Centred Design Process
• Experience working within agile development teams

• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a team and to obtain co-operation and adapt to change
• Strong interest in design and typography
• Knowledge of CSS
