"The Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst will drive forward specific intelligence types (tactical, operational and strategic) dependent on the tertiary team’s focus within the Threat Intelligence team. The resultant threat intelligence will be disseminated to a diverse array of intelligence consumers within Admiral Group. Deliverables based on their intelligence type can range from the novel detection of adversarial attack paths to SOC analysts to the application of machine learning technology for example, DeepFakes, to inform the business of emerging threats.
As part of a growing team with a flexible remit based on intelligence requirements, you have the prospect to conduct novel research, build Admiral’s connections within the industry and ultimately maximise organisational effectiveness.
To succeed in this role, it is expected that the candidate will operate across the business to collect, synthesise and communicate the relevant outputs. The candidate therefore needs to challenge the status quo, operate as a senior within the team, using their own initiative to maintain pace and relevance at the speed of the external landscape.
Responsibilities
The Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst will:
- Plan and maintain their respective tertiary team’s tasks with overall priorities assigned by the operations manager.
- Correlate external data with internal telemetry to provide situational awareness and recommendations for intelligence consumers.
- Ensure quality of deliverables to drive forward accuracy, relevancy and timeliness within their respective team.
- Support the continuous improvement of the respective team’s people, processes and technologies.
- Ultimately deliver threat intelligence deliverables working across the threat intelligence lifecycle.
Essential Experience/Skills
- 4 years’ experience in cyber security with a focus on intelligence or similar.
- Ability to communicate constructively and confidently from a technical level with analysts to a strategic level with senior executives.
- Technical and applicable knowledge of the cyber threat landscape within the context of financial services including threat actors, attack paths, tactics, techniques and procedures, with effective counter measures in a financial services environment. This includes an applicable understanding of respective frameworks: CKC, ATT&CK and others.
- Able to manage competing priorities, working efficiently under pressure to deliver both prioritised intelligence requests and scheduled tasks.
- Comfortable and adaptable to new technology and their respective risks.
Desirable Skills
- Penetration testing or technical cyber security experience.
- Coding experience (Python, Bash, Powershell).
- One of more qualifications (BSc, MSc, PhD, CREST, TigerScheme, SANS, CISSP).
- Experience working with industry leading Threat Intelligence Platforms.
Location: we will be considering remote working with a few times per month at the office.
